◈ Holding a ‘food festival’ on the occasion of celebrating the ASEAN-ROK Commemorative Summit

 

○ (Purpose) Providing a venue where Korea and ASEAN members maintain friendly relations in culture and economy on the basis of mutual understanding of food culture

○ (Date/Place) November 26(Tue)/Korean Cuisine Cultural Center in Jung-gu, Seoul(Morning), Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation(aT center) in Seocho-gu, Seoul (Afternoon)

○ (Host/Organizer) Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs (MAFRA)/Korea Food Promotion Institute(KFPI)

○ (Content) ASEAN-ROK Korean Food Contest Final, 2019 ASEAN-Korea Food Fermentation and Culture Forum

- (Morning) 2019 ASEAN-ROK Korean Food Contest Final

* Participation of 8 countries such as Myanmar, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Lao PDR, Thailand

- (Afternoon) 2019 ASEAN-Korea Food Fermentation and Culture Forum

* Thematic presentations on 5 countries including Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia

○ (Participant) total 300 persons

- (Morning) around 100 participants including winners of the preliminary rounds of Korean Food Contest held in each ASEAN member state, Embassy, influencers, food researchers and top media service provider

- (Afternoon) nearly 200 participants from food industry and academia, research centers, organizations related to traditional Korean fermented food ‘Jang’, and trainees
