◈ Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency (Director Bong-gyun Park) successfully achieved differentiation of adult stem cells derived from dog's fat tissues into cartilage cells with only physical electric stimulation.
❍ Through joint research with Hanyang Digitech, they selected electric stimulation conditions for customized differentiation of specific cells of the stem cell.
❍ By developing an all-in-one system, which is an integrated device that controls electric stimulation conditions for the first time in Korea, it can provide an optimum environment for cell differentiation.
◈ It is anticipated to contribute to the development and launching of a next-generation cell treatment for pets in the animal medicine market by applying this technology to immune cells.
* Cell treatment: A treatment that manipulates physical, chemical and biological methods by culturing or selecting living autologous, allogenic or xenogenic cells in vitro
