◈ MAFRA is providing support to export early-maturing pear variety of Korea to the US, by

addressing logistical difficulties including the lack of cargo space and rising freight charge.

 

○ MAFRA secured cargo space exclusive for the agri-food products in temporary cargo ships to the United States route in cooperation with the Korean shipper HMM and supported inland transportation fees so that pears can be delivered to the east coast of the US during the Lunar Thanksgiving holiday.

 

○ Identification stickers will be attached to all the exported pears to differentiate them from Chinese pears, and special marketing events will be held across the US.
