◈ 「International Workshop on Image Analysis in Plant Variety Testing」 has been successfully held.

○ (Date and Venue) December 2, 2021 (Thursday) 15:00~19:00 via Video conference (Zoom), by The Korea Seed and Variety Service

○ (Participants) 300 participants from members of the International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV) *, the seed industry in and out of Korea, and national research institutions

* 125 participants from 22 member countries of the International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV)

○ (Topic) Present image analysis technologies of Korea, Germany and the Netherlands and discuss how to develop them

- (Technology) Korean technology covers most plants while others are limited to specific plants

- (Comments from experts) Korea’s image analysis technologies are innovative and progressive, they requested Korea’s participation in international cooperation (UK, New Zealand, etc.)

◈ The Image analysis technology won the 「Excellence Award」 at a contest to share service innovation practice which was hosted by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security.
