□ MAFRA announced its Rice Processing Industry Promotion Plan with Floury Rice on June 8.
◯ The promotion plan is focused on reducing wheat import dependency while addressing rice oversupply by boosting the rice processing industry through active usage of floury rice. 

□ MAFRA has set three major policy tasks: ➀ establishment of stable floury rice supply system, ➁ support for commercialization, and ➂ expansion of demand base for processed rice food products under the goal of providing 200,000 tons of floury rice for processing purpose, and of replacing 10% of annual flour demand (around 2 million tons) by 2027.
