□ On October 5, MAFRA announced the "First Basic Plan to Nurture Successor·Young Farmers (2023~2027)."
⭘ The Plan introduces 4 strategies backed by strong policy support, whose impacts can be actually felt by recipients based on the needs on the field, to nurture 30,000 young farmers by 2027

󰊱 Support for "more" young and successor farmers    
 ➊ Expand·reform the stable agricultural and rural settlement  support project for young farmers 
 ➋  Provide tax benefits to select more successor farm holders and promote farm succession

󰊲 Support for "easier" 
access to farmland 
and fund     
 ➊ Expand provision of farmland and adopt various ways to provide farmland
 ➋  Improve loan conditions (period of repayment, interest rates) and establish investment fund directly funded by the government

󰊳  Support for "growth" 
as "professional farmers"    
 ➊  Provide customized·on-the-job training per each stage of growth
 ➋  Diversify income sources through convergence·integration, along with the support in connection with R&D

󰊴 Establish "pleasant 
and attractive" rural communities    
 ➊  Expand housing·childcare services in rural areas 
 ➋  Establish communities of young farmers in a voluntary manner and support activities contributing to local communities

□ MAFRA will address the imbalance of agricultural labor structure, currently dominated by 
aged farmers, and will attract young farmers with creativity and potential for innovation through this Plan.

⭘ The percentage of young farmers among the total farm holders is expected to go up from 
1.2% in 2020 to 10% in 2040.
