◇ Irrigation facilities, crops and landslides are checked in advance due to the increasing damage to people, agricultural crops and facilities caused by climate change
◇ Measures to prevent, mitigate and restore the damage are promoted under the leadership of the “Agricultural Disaster Response Situation Room” during the period to address natural disasters during the summer such as typhoons, rainfalls and heatwave (from June 10 to October 15)
○ (Situation management) Agricultural Disaster Response Situation Room (6 teams) will be formed and operated to monitor the situation for 24 hours
○ (Coordination system) Central Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, local governments, the Rural Development Administration, Korea Forest Service, Nonghyup Agricultural Cooperative Federation and the Korea Rural Community Corporation
○ (Damage response) Cooperation among relevant agencies, rapid recovery and repair from the damage
○ (Promotion to farms) Information on weather and the manual on how to respond will be promoted through TV, SMS, local broadcasts, etc.
◇ Thorough preparation of relevant agencies and farmers is required to minimize the damage
