The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (Minister Chung Hwang-keun, MAFRA) announced that the Korea Food Show 2023 will be held at the aT Center located in Yangjae-dong, Seoul from November 15th for three days.
The 15th Food Show has significantly expanded in scale compared to last year, offering a richer array of attractions. The number of participating companies has tripled from 37 last year to 109 this year, and the exhibition area has increased by approximately 1.6 times from 1,579㎡ last year to 2,537㎡ this year.
The theme of this year's Korea Food Show is the future of Korea's food tech industry. In the themed exhibition hall, five models for win-win growth between agriculture and food tech will be presented. The major exhibition areas will showcase the latest food technologies and products in seven areas: next-generation food, innovative production, food tech for restaurants, consumer-oriented food tech, ag-tech, green biology, and pet food. Importantly, a separate section dedicated to floury rice will be set up this year, presenting over 50 products made with floury rice, including bread and cookies, and providing consumer tastings.
As part of the sideline events, business consultation sessions, investment briefings, and seminars on world market entry strategies will be held. Relavant events include the Conference on Food Service Industry Outlook 2024 and K-Food Export Consultation Meeting with invited buyers, offering various informative programs for food companies. The Ministry also plans to present awards to 10 individuals for their contributions to the development of the food service industry at the Korea Food Show 2023.
Minister Chung Hwang-keun emphasized the significance of the event, stating, "At this year's event, we have made efforts to present the directions for enhancing the global competitiveness of K-Food, including food tech, and strengthening shared growth with agriculture."
