Buyers from 27 Countries, including Vietnam, Kazakhstan, and India, Gather at the ROK’s Buyers-Exporters Meeting for Agricultural Inputs
Sejong, 23 July 2025— On 22 July 2025, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) of the Republic of Korea (ROK) held a buyers-exporters meeting for agricultural inputs in Yongsan-gu in Seoul. The meeting will be held until 25 July, with the attendance of 75 buyers from 27 countries, including the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Republic of India, as well as 113 Korean exporters of agricultural inputs, such as agricultural machinery, agricultural materials, fertilizers, and agricultural pesticides. There will be a total of 588 one-on-one business meetings between the two sides.
The MAFRA holds a buyers-exporters meeting every year by inviting overseas buyers to provide opportunities for Korean exporters of agricultural inputs to develop a path to overseas markets and increase their exports. In 2024, the business meetings between Korean exporters and overseas buyers reached 758 cases worth USD 112.7 million and resulted in signing 32 contracts and Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) worth USD 24.5 million.
The MAFRA worked hard to ensure that Korean agricultural inputs can be exported to overseas markets through the buyers-exporters meeting. Specifically, the MAFRA invited 75 overseas buyers showing a strong intention of purchase and shared with Korean exporters success cases of contract signing, know-how in contract signing, and export strategies.
After the end of the buyers-exporters meeting, the MAFRA will arrange follow-up business meetings between Korean exporters and overseas buyers to ensure that more export contracts can be signed between the two sides. In October 2025, the MAFRA plans to hold a buyers-exporters meeting focused on agricultural machinery and materials in connection with Buy Korean Food+ (BKF+), a buyers-exporters meeting for expanding the exports of agri-food products (K-Food) and the products from the agro-industry.
