◈ To boost competitiveness of Korean agri-food products and actively explore online and offline markets, in order to achieve 8.1 billion dollars of export in 2021(up 7.0% year-on-year)
◈ Main strategies to expand export of agri-food products
❍ (Online) Expanding Korean agri-food section and promotion in connection with the Korean wave in SNS; establishing B2B eCommerce platform; enhancing capabilities of exporting businesses, etc.
❍ (Market diversification) More support for strategic items such as fruits and infant food in connection with the Korean wave in Southeast Asia. Expanded markets in Australia and Europe. Diversified distribution channels in China and the United States.
❍ (Fresh Produce) Intensive management from production to distribution of strawberries and grapes. Stable export of bell peppers to China. Resolving logistics issues through export by ship. Strengthened safety management.
❍ (Promising items) Support for product development and improvement of traditional fermented food(Kimchi, salted paste, etc.), functional food (ginseng, etc.), home replacement meal(processed rice food, noodles, etc.) and tailored marketing activities.
❍ (Information sharing) Strengthened monitoring and timely provision of information on non-tariff barriers such as overseas food sanitation regulations and labelling. Disinfection of the manual on RCEP and operation of consulting centers.
