□   Legislation draft “Act on Nurturing and Promoting Smart Farming” was approved at the Cabinet meeting on November 8, 2022.

 ㅇ After approval at the Cabinet meeting, the legislation is expected to build an institutional foundation for nurturing and promoting smart farming with comprehensive and systematic support.
 ㅇ By enhancing productivity and competitiveness in the agriculture industry, the spread of smart farming is expected to overcome challenges faced by agriculture such as climate change, aging rural population, etc.
   * Announced “Plan for Agriculture Innovation by Promoting Smart Farming (October 5, 2022)” on the occasion of the 11th Emergency Meeting on Economic Affairs
