(Implementation Background) Set up 5-year framework plan (2019 - 2023) for systematic collection, preservation and facilitation of use of agricultural bio resources in accordance with the Act on the Conservation, Management, and Use of Agricultural Bio-resources (Article 5)
(Status) Secured and managing 3.19 million sorts of bio resources of 53,000 species through 138 managing agencies
(Major Content) Implementation of 4 strategies and 8 detailed tasks
(Securing Quality Resources) Secure diverse resources (2.9 million in 2018 → 3.23 million in 2023) through strategic collection and international exchange, and evaluate characteristics of resources to improve utilization
(Strengthen Proliferation and Management) Expand proliferation of resources (1.35 million in 2018 → 1.44 million in 2023) by improving seeds for stable utilization of resources, and improve managing agencies and systems
(End User Oriented Information System) Improve information service by focusing on end users, and continuously expand bio resources database (6.5 million in 2018 → 6.9 million in 2023)
(Facilitate Use of Resources) Improve and promote convenience in resource distribution and expand R&D support to promote resource utilization by means of patents and breeding (accomplish 150 industrialization results in 2018 - 2023)
