Infectious Disease Occurrence Status
Brucelliasis and tuberculosis in cows are class 2 legal domestic animal infectious diseases that have occurred each year in some parts and entities
Brucelliasis in cows have occurred 126 times in the year of 2020 alone, and tuberculosis cases occur around 350 times on average each year
CEM (Contagious Equine Metritis) in horses occur around 20 times each year
Progress
Supply of preventive drugs for anthrax and blackleg in cows, bovine infectious rhinotracheitis, bovine epizootic fever, Akabane disease, diarrhea and foot rot
Medical tests such as blood test to prevent bovine tuberculosis and brucelliasis
Sampling and diagnosing to prevent bovine spongiform entephalopathy (BSE)
Supplying preventive drugs for horse diseases such as equine influenza and Japanese B encephalitis, and sampling and diagnosing equine diseases
Regulations
Operating disease-specific quarantine measures by introducing slaughtering, restriction of movement, retesting, disinfecting and inspecting in case of bovine infectious diseases
Providing and operating quarantine measures such as retesting and treatment in case of equine infectious diseases
