Project Procedures
Safety diagnosis (facility manager) → investigation of candidate sites and setup of a framework plan (cities and provinces) → designation of target sites (MAFRA) → setup of an implementation plan (cities and provinces) → approval of project implementation (cities and provinces) → beginning of the construction (project entity) → completion (cities and provinces)
Project Performance
To reinforce preparedness to water disasters from reservoirs and pumping and discharging stations, and promote the modernization of agricultural convenience facilities such as soil waterway structures
By 2020, 3,908 sites (66.9%) of 5,842 disaster prevention sites were completed.
By 2020, 9,800 km (45.4%) of 21,600 km of soil waterway was completed.
Future Plans
To repair and reinforce rural infrastructure facilities such as reservoirs and discharging stations that are old and poorly functioning in order to fundamentally prevent disasters
To repair and reinforce 1,934 irrigation facilities from 2021 to 2030
