Breeding Facility Modernization Project


(Purpose) To increase productivity by improving livestock breeding facilities and to empower competitiveness of the livestock industry by improving productivity and environment
(Targets) Livestock farms and corporations that has been breeding livestock by registering and getting permit for livestock industry before December 31, 2014
  • Or personnel (aged 50 or under) who has operated a livestock farm of the relevant variety for 3 years or more, and a graduate in livestock related department (aged 50 or under) from high school/university graduates with livestock related major

(2021 Supports) KRW 211.8 billion (FTA fund 893, interest difference compensation 1,225)
  • SME (FTA fund) and Large (interest difference compensation): 80% loan, 20% deductible
    * Interest Rate: SME annual interest rate 1% (large 2%), 5-year loan, 10-year repayment

(Preferential Application) In favor of a farm whose project can be completed in the same year as it has secured land and completed approval and permit procedures 
  • 1st Priority: A farm which secured land and completed approval and permit procedures by the time of the project implementation by newly building, transferring and renovating livestock farms

(Obligatory Compliance) Using facilities provided during the follow-up management period according to the purpose of supports such as livestock breeding
  • Install animal welfare facilities for layer cages in compliance with the livestock industry permit and registration standards
    * Cage density 0.075㎡/head, 9 stories or less, 1.2m or wider corridors between cages, etc.
  • Disease control facilities for biosecurity and portable disease control equipment, etc.

(Exclusion of Support) Farms under sanctions such as imprisonment, penalty or fine, etc. by violating livestock related laws

* Farms on disposition due to insufficient disinfecting facilities may apply only after installing disinfecting and disease control facilities


(Supports) Costs necessary for stables, livestock facilities, disease control facilities and landscape improvement facilities
Division Details
Stable Buildings used to grow livestock that apply for foundation work, framework, masonry wall and roof, etc. necessary to complete building
Stable Facility Facilities to be installed inside stable to raise livestock
e.g. Feeding, electrical, watering, ventilation, lighting, and fire-fighting facilities, etc.
Livestock Facility Facilities inside farms that are accompanied to effectively achieve the purposes of stable, stable facilities and breeding livestock
e.g. Odor collecting and reducing facilities, incubators, excretion fermented liquid circulating system, etc.
Disease Control Facility Facilities to be equipped for disease control purpose such as fences, farm gates, vehicle disinfecting facilities, disease control rooms and stable front rooms, etc.
Landscape Improvement Facility Facilities for improving surrounding environment to preserve the environment and landscape of farming villages
e.g. Trees (including honey plants), landscape plantation and flower garden work, etc.

(Supported Amount) Calculate the upper limit in each farm by multiplying within the applicable land area by building type and size by the unit price
  • When installing animal welfare stable facilities (complying with the standards such as stable density), provide up to 10% additional supports to the upper limit of the unit price
    * Increased Support Unit Price (Example): Layer chicken KRW 720,000/㎡ → KRW 792,000/㎡, fattening chicken KRW 360,000/㎡ → KRW 396,000/㎡
    * Increased Upper Limit (Example): Layer chicken KRW 3,600 million → KRW 3,960 million, fattening chicken KRW 1,800 million → KRW 1,980 million
