The Center for Farmers' Safety & Health is an institution that investigates and researches on major diseases of farmers being in charge of preventing diseases and educating farmers through research according to Article 15-2 of the Special Act on Improvement of Quality of Life of Farmers and Fishers and Promotion of Development of Farming and Fishing Villages.
What does the Center do?
Investigate root-causes of major diseases on farmers and correlation with farming
* Major Diseases of Farmers: Musculoskeletal system disorders (arthritis, back pains, etc.), agrichemical poisoning, various injuries from farming work, etc.
Develop and distribute preventive manuals such as a correction of farming postures to prevent major diseases of farmers
Provide disease and prevention information for farmers
Provide medical services for farmers living in medically underserved areas
